Relaxing Christmas

Christmas was a quiet, relaxing day for us. We slept in, lingered over coffee and pumpkin bread, and lazed around for a few hours. Sorted arrived around 2:30pm, and Chris started cooking dinner. We watched "Chocolat" while dinner was cooking. Sorted had never seen it, so it was fortunate we were there to edumicate him.
We ate dinner around 6:00pm, and it was delicious. Chris made turkey breast, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Yummy! After that, we relaxed on the couch and watched "Office Space." Sorted's modern education is obviously lagging, as he hadn't seen this movie either. *gasp!*
We finished the evening with pumpkin pie and quiet conversation. All-in-all, a wonderful day! I'm still relaxed from yesterday, so that's all I got for today. Hope your Christmases or holidays or Mondays were all happy.

Office Space was just AWESOME! I actually once worked with someone who was almost exactly like Red Stapler Guy. When the company went out of business, we had a Kiosk-smashing ceremony that was a lot like the fax-smashing scene. Too cool!

Did you notice that Sorted didn't mention the movies at all? That's because he doesn't remember (read: get) any of the quotes that came out of them.

Hopeless, he is.

I love watching movies, all cuddled up under the blanket with your special someone.

So were we huddled during the films, or just comfortably sitting? Huh? Huh?

Spill the juicy details! Were your stockings hung by the chimney with care, or just flung over the arm of the sofa? :)

Tee hee hee.

Sounds perfect my dear. We've been watching the whole 4 series of Family Guy. Horrible, base with plenty of crassness and a splattering of potty humor. I loved it LOL

Sounds like a great Christmas. And I love the movie Chocolat. To be honest, I like almost all movies with Johnny Depp.
I had a nice Christmas myself, and I'm not even home yet...

Did you count the silverware and check all of the valuables... Sorted has a tendency to "borrow" things... he doesn't mean to, it is just part of his charm...

I hope you filled your TPS report before watching all those movies. You did get the memo about that? If not I can send you one, but I'll have to fill out a TPS report first.

I must be downright idiotic. I still haven't seen office space. Sounds as if things went well. I only keep hearing about Sorted Lives from turning older's podcast and as that bitch from the ditch so I was expecting to hear about lots of drinking, or am I mistaken as to parties or proclivities?

It isn't part of his charm, Spider (and others), it is his nature.

He can't help it. Like that scorpion.

To set the record, ahem, straight, all the jibes sent Sorted's way are in fun. He's a sweet, sincere guy who takes a lot of good-natured ribbing for reasons unknown to me. Of course, he dishes it out as well as he takes it, so perhaps that's the reason. :)

Anyway, we were thrilled to have him visit us. He made our Christmas!

I wish I could be like that.. bringing change to a stilted world

You are a kind soul that sees the best in people, and believe me, you are heard through all the din of smaller voices.

Office Space. Definitely up there with the good ones.

Sounds like you had a good day. I watched Mrs. Henderson Presents with my dog.

Not the same as with friends, but still, movies are good.
