Hit counter

I installed a hit counter on my blog. It's on the bottom of the right-side nav bar. I got it from TinyCounter. It was quick and simple and free, and no ad's. It seems good enough. If anyone knows of any good hit counters that give good statistics and are free or low-cost, please let me know. I will be investigating doing my own hit counter, too. Any advice on this would be most appreciated.

You can get Stat counter for free. It will do hitcount accurately, and it will also allow you to see where your traffic is coming from, what pages they look at, etc. I pay for the service so that I can have a larger log (mine keeps track of the last 1000 hits for analysis). The log size doesn't affect the counter. That will run forever. It only affects the other information. so my advice is to check out statcounter.com

Thanks, Larry. Blogger had a link to them, but it seemed too complicated. I'll take another look at 'em.

By the way, you're the first person other than me to push my hit counter up. I started it at '9' today, and you were #10.

It'll happen :) Just keep commenting on other people's blogs and they will return the favor. At least, that's how it usually works!
