What Shipment?
Well, the solar panel shipment we were expecting didn't arrive.
Here's the whole poop:
1. They still want to charge us an extra $100 to take the panels off their truck and put them in our driveway. The alternative is for us to disassemble the pallets on the truck and remove the panels ourselves.
2. Their best estimate for delivery was "sometime later this afternoon."
3. They didn't call us to tell us their truck broke down and we wouldn't be getting our shipment. We had to call them at 5:30pm to get a status.
The shipping company is Roadway. If you ever ship something, be sure to use someone else.

Duly noted.
They AT LEAST could have called to let you know it was not coming. GRRRRRR.
They better be hot as hell, naked and hung to their knees when they get to your place tomorrow...
I deal with shipping companies all the time, and that $100 is standard for the "use" of the lift-gate. Typically, though, it is their responsibility to get it off their truck, as it would be an insurance nightmare if you were on their truck and got injured.
Make them break down the pallet and place your items on the driveway. If they bring it "inside" your house, that would be an inside delivery, also costing extra.
Shipping companies suck. End of story.
sorry! hope its better today!
They sound like a nightmare!
*hugs*
Roadway huh? Thanks I will remember that....Roadway sucks!
Noted. Glad to see you gave us the whole poop instead just a little squeeze.
Hrmmm... I wish I had known sooner about this. My mom works for Yellow/Roadway in upper management...may have been able to help ya...
Roadway....Sucks....got it.
Sorry about the delays. Hopefully you will be solar-powered soon.
Any word on the delivery?
