Stuff

Some of you noticed my blog was wonky a couple days ago. I made an attempt to move the blog off blogger, and of course blogger wasn't cooperating. After a few attempts, and a lot of swearing, I managed to get it back up and running on blogger. I will make another attempt sometime soon. Not much going on in the void. My routine consists of waking, working, working out, playing Warcraft/watching television, and sleeping. My leg is back on the cold/heat cycle, and I'm doing my best to stay off it even if it feels okay. I'm in another mid-week motivation slump, but doing my best to stay focused and not get too down. Whine, whine, woe is me, [insert favorite pathetic phrase], etc. Nothing new. I am reading a book called "Self-Discipline in 10 Days." Self-Discipline in 10 Days It's a workbook, and I'm trying actually to do the exercises. I'll let you know how it goes.

Glad your back up and running!!

It is that time of year when things seem to be settling down again. It is good that you are starting your workbook and continuing to workout...just be careful of the leg!!!

You're allow some whine now and again - just don't forget that it goes well with cheese.

Take care of that leg!

I was kinda thinking the issue was with Blogger - all of it. It was a bitch to comment on most Blogger blogs. Anyway, good luck with the self-discipline thing. I didn't think I had any, but I'm now thinking otherwise since I've quit smoking. Good luck.

Is it really taking ten days? You aren't jumping ahead, are you? I once heard someone say that you need to repeat something for a whole month before it becomes a habit. So, maybe you will have to do the workbook three times and it will stick! I am not sure who said it, though. Probably something I picked up on TV.

Isn't it hard to spank yourself and tie yourself up and put yourself in the crate - or does the book teach you how to do that? Just wondering...

I loathe books that have anything to do with "self improvment". I figure the authors of them once read the super secret "how to" guide on making a bazillion bucks off people.

On the other hand, I love anything that is described as "wonky".

I'm torn on these kinds of books too. I have to agree with MiKell when you have these "Self Help" books it seems the author is leaving it up to the consumer. If they are really interested in changing people for the greater good, they would have a different forum to teach people and not charge them a chunk o’ cash. And I don’t mean a work seminar! I may sound cynical but the fact is, people are who they are, and changing them with one seminar for the purpose of making them better at their job isn't right. All it did was bought the speaker their new BMW. Ohhh I sound nasty, but hey that's the way I feel...
