The McDonald's where I grew up was renovated in the 90's. Since it's in Maine, they decided to have one of the local chainsaw artists come carve a sculpture of a happy pair of bears standing next to each other. How much more sedate and neighborly than to have a Momma and Daddy bear standing in front of your "restaurant"? Well, lo and behold there was a knot in the log that they carved the sculpture from. A knot that was long and stuck out from the groin region of the daddy bear. Yes it looked like Pappa bear sure did like Momma bear a whole lot! Eventually they stained the whole thing brown :)
